Why there is 'X' sign on the back of the last train car/coach?

Image
For all of us, "Indian railway" is a very useful thing. We often notice many things while traveling from the railway. Have u noticed the 'Cross' (X) on the last coach/box of the railway in a station? Yes, you are right....This cross "X" mark indicates that this is the last coach/box of the railway.  Except this cross 'X', 2 letters as "LV" in English are also seen on the last box of each railway. (LV means Last Vehicle)  And at night, we see a red light blinking on the last coach. According to the rules of railways, it is mandatory to have these things on the last box. Typically all these signs are there to show the end of the rail. These signs are not registered on any other coaches of the railway. The only purpose here is to show that the rail ends here. It is important for the safety of the train to know that the train ends here. The controller signals when a rail goes from that station, If the last box of the rail have not mentioned abo...

Maruti's first car

Image
Do you know who is the owner of Maruti's first car and where is that car today? The car was bought by Harpal Singh, a resident of Delhi, who was an Air India employee.  The key to this car was handed over to Harpal by the Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi on December 14, 1983.   When this car was initially sold, a lucky draw was drawn for it, after which Harpal Singh got this car.  In India, Maruti Suzuki 800 came as the cheapest car in the country, which was called public car.  Maruti Motors Limited formed a joint venture with Suzuki Motor Corporation in 1981, after which production of this car started. He still have that car today. The Maruti company many times offered him a considerable price to buy that car, but they did not sell till their last breath. Today, the first Maruti Suzuki 800 ...

Why do Indian Defence Services use Maruti Gypsy instead of other powerful SUVs?

Image
It is true that Maruti Gypsy is not powerful nowadays. But when the military started using the Maruti Gypsy in 1991, it was the most powerful SUV in the Indian market. Some of the main advantages of gypsy:  1. Gypsy is a petrol-powered vehicle with a very high acceleration.  2. The power to weight ratio of the vehicle is very good.  3. The cost of maintenance is low, the petrol engine is basically not too cumbersome (compared to diesel).  4. By telling the company, the army has made changes as per their wishes, so it is easy for them to use it. Suppose the car stops due to any damage to any part, it takes a very little time to replace a spare parts. All these issues apply till 2010. Then the army had more options. Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio, Force One etc.  The Army had issued a tender in 2016 for a new SUV. In which Tata Safari came first in all the tests. In 2018, the army has registered a demand for 32,000 Safari vehicles.  And now slowly the ...

A horse is shot and killed after falling in a race, Shocking.... no? Hello friends, Yes, You read that right! When a horse falls in a race, it is killed. Do you know why? Although it may seem inhuman to kill a horse that had an accident in a race by shooting or injecting it with poison but it is good for the horse. Race horses are bred through selective breeding. The purpose of selective breeding is simply to breed faster horses. The race horse weighs around 1000 kgs, but the legs of the horse are very thin in terms of body size. Still he manages to carry that weight, because out of 205 bones in a horse's entire body, 80 bones are in its legs. The joints, bones, ligaments, ligament's cartilage, etc. things from the horse's legs contribute to the horse's speed. But when the horse collapses, the same system becomes a curse for him. The legs of the race horses are more tacky. So when a horse falls, its bones not only break, but literally fall to pieces. The bone undergoes ...
